Melissa never ran in High School, but then she walked on to the SUNY Geneseo Cross Country Team and then after her time at Geneseo, she moved to Michigan to run for the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project.
Melissa is also a mom of 2 kids and a coach for Luke Humphrey running. She fits running into her life's schedule by training at all hours of the day and in all conditions.
